Immigrants: The Other Perspective

Imagine being a resident on the Greek island of Lesbos. 20,000 Syrian refugees land up on your island and now 1 in 5 people on the island is a refugee. You feel so threatened that you even stopping sending your kids to school. Or imagine being in Hungary: immigrants chant Islamic slogans and shout “f*** you” slogans at the police. Or maybe you are worrying about the security threats: two refugees were arrested in an unspecified European country on suspicion of being ISIS members.

But hey, let’s focus only on the immigrants and refugees’ perspective; not the impact and dangers they pose to the people whose countries they land up in. At least, that’s the stance of liberals world over.

When a stretched Czech police force started writing numbers on the arms of immigrants after detaining them, the Nazi comparisons started. The same comparison was done when Hungary was glad to see the backs of immigrants leaving in trains, this time the comparison was to the Nazi cattle cars. Do people even know what the Nazis did? These moronic comparisons sound so much like the Indians who compare a single act by the likes of the RSS in India with the worst of the Taliban and ISIS regimes over months and years.

Exaggerate. Distort. Compare apples to oranges. Make a mountain out of a spec of dust. Even lie. That’s how liberals world over react.

Steve Hilton asks:
“How would you feel if your daily life was being made intolerable while the authorities, thanks to European Union rules about registering refugees, seemed unable to restore order?”
I disagree with every single word in the rest of his article but the question above is exactly what the liberals should be asking themselves.

And while the liberals think about that, why their pin drop silence on the Muslim attitude? Always ready to sympathize and take up arms for other Muslims everywhere, what’s the best Muslims offer to the refugees and immigrants? By offering to build 200 mosques in Germany: that’s what the Saudis just did. Now let me think: when was the last time the Saudis did something similar? Oh yeah, in the refugee camps of Pakistan when the Russians invaded Afghanistan. There, they started madrasas that taught the murderous Wahabi version of Islam. Which in turn led to the rise of the Taliban, al-Qaeda and global terrorism. But hey, the Germans are too busy flagellating themselves on their Nazi past to learn anything from more recent history.

I am not a fan of Indira Gandhi but at least when we had a similar problem on our borders, she sent in the Army and created Bangladesh. German chancellor Angela Merkel, by comparison, is a pussy cat. Or if you find that sexist, let’s call Merkel a toothless lapdog, who instead of guarding the house invites more intruders in!

And while we are doing the India comparison, Gandhi got us freedom without firing a shot. Merkel, on the other hand, intends to hand over Europe on a platter to the Muslims, again without them having to fire a single shot.

As a toddler, my daughter loved Alia Bhatt’s songs, esp. the ones from Student of the Year . (That movie did have many good songs and well-choreographed dances). Fast forward to present day, when she is 12 yo. The Retort of the "Luxury Person"

Coming up with biting and witty retorts. It’s something we dream of, but rarely manage to pull off. Worse, the more we stew over the offending remark, the more likely we are to come up with that dream retort, as Calvin ruefully points out: During our last holiday at the Taj Resort, seeing my wife carrying towels to our poolside chairs, one of the kids there mistook her for a member of the staff and asked for a towel.
